Qualifications

• I hold a Diploma in Translation, awarded by the Institute of Linguists. I hold a degree in French from the University of Oxford and a MA degree in Linguistics from University College London.
  
• For several years I was a medical administrator at a major London teaching hospital, working in a specialist team.
  
• I am a Qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists and an Associate of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, and am bound by their Codes of Conduct (CIoL; ITI)

• I am on the committee (as newsletter editor) of the French Network of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting, as well as the West Midlands Group.

• I am also a keen amateur musician and at various times have played in the Oxford University Orchestra, the Oxford Chamber Orchestra, UCL orchestra and Ealing Symphony Orchestra, among many others. A recent review of a performance I was involved in.
